I started my career designing commercial and office interiors for clients including Sovereign Bank and Catholic Charities. Over the past 15 years, I've worked almost entirely in residential design, with a brief period specializing in country club design. During this time I gained a strong portfolio in luxury residential interiors.
I studied at Bucknell University and earned my Masters of Science in Interior Design from Drexel University. Both degrees provided me with the knowledge of historical periods and design movements, which I reference often when developing the overall concept for our client's interior spaces. In recent years, I found myself back in the classroom as an instructor in the RISD Interior Design program.
As Interior Designer, I prioritize the details through scale, color, and space planning to complete the overall design concept specific to our clients’ interior spaces. I believe a beautiful, timeless home is a result of the experience as you walk through each space. The palette should run from one room to the next, clearly established from the start and re-introduced as the house continues to unfold. Each room should have a bit of its own personality, texture, color – and even a touch of whimsy (which I love). A successful design is when comfort and function is prioritized, and when the designer’s hand is not so evident. My favorite houses look collected, as if they have evolved over time.
Outside of designing, you’ll find me spending time with my family and our two dogs. We enjoy exploring the Rhode Island coastline and the mountains around our cozy cabin in the Berkshires.
