Family Forward

Designing multigenerational homes requires clever ideas to create spaces that adapt as the family evolves. Such is the case with Family Fun House. Not only did our clients request a home comfortable for the family now and in the future, but they also needed the house to be well-appointed to welcome summertime guests on getaway.

Working in collaboration with architect Herkworks, we carefully developed a space plan for the house that accommodated the family's needs and the demands of hosting with ease. Elements like accordion windows on two walls of the kitchen that open to the porch and grilling area, as well as retractable screens for evening meals, combine to create easy summer entertaining.

Perfectly Personal

Layers of materials and texture in the interior helped us achieve a sense of modernity and spirit, just like our clients, while ensuring family-friendly spaces. Incorporating our client's art and succulent collections, personalized the spaces and made this home truly their own.

Today the house is a successful balance of warm textural undertones with cool and airy spaces, all suited to gathering loved ones of all ages for precious time, together.
