team taste

Welcome Rachel Duchesne

The taste talent pool has expanded again with the addition of Rachel Duchesne to our team.  With a deep and broad resume of experience, Rachel’s graceful style and well trained eye for detail is already benefiting our client projects.

Rachel brings extensive experience from her tenure in luxury residential interior and private club design.  Add to that, her large firm point-of-view from early career experiences in commercial design including daycare, dental practices and office design for clients including Sovereign Bank, Catholic Charities and The Hartford, lends a valuable understanding of large, start-to-finish projects.

Rachel earned a BA in English Literature with a Minor in Art and Religion from Bucknell University and her Masters of Science in Interior Design from Drexel University.  Locally, she’s known as a generous and seasoned instructor in the RISD Interior Design program.

“My favorite houses look collected, having evolved over time.  Strong efforts by talented designers are excellent for editorials and fun to work on, however for me, true comfort and function is achieved when a designer’s hand is not so evident.  This is the skill of an experienced designer.”

When not creating, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs enjoying and exploring the Rhode Island coastline and the mountains of the Berkshires at their cozy log cabin near Great Barrington.  Here at taste, we’re already seeing Rachel’s extensive knowledge of sources, historical periods and design movements contribute a level of richness to our client work.  We couldn’t be more thrilled with many ways she adds a lovely presence and accumulated know-how to the team.

Join me in welcoming Rachel to team taste.

Only the best,
