I was raised in Rhode Island and have been interested in Interior Design ever since I was a child. Growing up, I would repeatedly create floor plans and redesign my family's bedrooms. My love of design, space planning, and especially selecting decor led me into floral design, which helped me through college at the New England Institute of Technology. Next, I received my bachelor's degree in Interior Design and began practicing in the design industry in South Florida, where I joined the International Furnishings and Design Association. Soon after, I relocated back to Rhode Island.
Steve Jobs once said, "Design is not just what it looks like and feels like - design is how it works." This philosophy has influenced most of my work. Interior designers ensure layouts will work, whether it has to do with space planning or how well a fabric, material, or finish can perform under specific applications. The best part of my job is seeing the designs come together and the joy they bring to our clients. Although we may be a small part of their lives, their interiors will last a lifetime and have an impact long after we've completed the project.
When I'm not designing, you'll probably find me eating at a local restaurant followed by binge-watching a good series with my husband, Anthony, and our dog, Violet.
